Xerxes Flare Knockout (FKO) Fiberglass (FRP) Tanks are available in 25 BBL, 50 BBL, or 100 BBL and in 15 PSI or 50 PSI designs.
Shawcor corrosion resistant FRP tanks, including the Flare Knockout Tanks, are increasingly being specified for a variety of oil and gas industry applications. As the North American pipeline infrastructure and related facilities continues to expand, owners and their design engineering firms are using Shawcor storage tanks for the collection of liquids that come from routine maintenance practices or as emergency spill collection. A Shawcor double wall FRP sump tank is the ideal choice for these corrosive environments. Shawcor pipeline double wall FRP sump tanks offer the following advantages:
Shawcor Flare Knock Out FRP tanks tanks offer the following advantages:
Fiberglass FKO FRP tanks are a corrosion-resistant solution for separating gas from liquids in gas-flaring applications.
Shawcor double-wall tanks are designed to outlast steel tanks, and withstand harsh oilfield and weather conditions.
Shawcor FKO FRP tanks are fully assembled and tested prior to delivery. They require minimal site preparation and no costly inspections.
Shawcor FRP tanks are custom-designed to your exact engineering specifications for new facilities. For existing batteries, we can replace steel tanks with fiberglass tanks that fit the existing design and piping.
Rib Design – with the Shawcor design, the ribs are fabricated directly into the tank cylinder.
Parabeam Constuction – Parabeam enhances the overall structural integrity by creating a bond between the primary and secondary cylinder walls, while providing a free-flowing interstitial space for monitoring capabilities.
TRUCHEK® Continuous Monitoring – When you order a Shawcor double wall FRP sump tank with the TRUCHEK option, the interstice between the two tank walls is factory-filled with calcium-chloride fluid that also partially fills a tank-top reservoir. This innovative design creates a hydrostatic pressure throughout the interstice, thereby monitoring both tank walls on a continuous basis. An electronic probe placed in the tank’s reservoir alarms when the fluid level falls below or rises above the acceptable level. The alarm system is compatible with SCADA communications systems for 24/7 monitor reporting. TRUCHEK also provides a precise and reliable method to perform a tank-tightness test that meets the strict NFPA 329 criteria.
